The OA Shakespeare Quartos Archive, funded by the UK's JISC and the U.S. National Endowment for the Humanities, launched. The German SHERPA/RoMEO database of journal policies got an upgrade. The BioMed Central journals Journal of Hematology & Oncology and Scandinavian Journal of Trauma, Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine have been accepted for inclusion in MEDLINE.

In a blog post for The Hill, Heather Joseph highlights the recent Nobelists' letter supporting FRPAA. A study presented at a recent workshop examines Spain's participation in E-LIS and finds Spanish authors have more deposits than authors from any other country. A proposal on improving access to patent information was approved at the World Intellectual Property Organization's Committee on Development and Intellectual Property.
