Secure multi-party computation (SMPC) enables organisations to collaborate on sensitive data analysis without directly sharing raw information. However, seemingly harmless aggregate outputs, particularly private set intersection (PSI), can leak individual-level information when analysed strategically over time.

I got invited by Sertaç Sehlikoglu to deliver a lecture to the Masters students down at the UCL Institute for Global Prosperity. I talked about the recent work on planetary computing, with an overview of the LIFE and FOOD papers.

I have not posted a lot about our Virtual Human Platform for Safety Assessment (VHP4Safety) project yet. Actually, more generally I do not post frequently about the funded projects. This is likely that few of them are Open Science by contract and often they have some formal process in place to approve output. While acknowledging valid points, I believe the paper’s conclusions are overly dismissive and argue for a refined approach to power and sample size estimation, if one accepts that uncertainty is a problem.
