Regular readers of the Blog will already be aware of both the partnership between DataCite and IGSN to transition the IGSN IDs into the DataCite infrastructure, services, and APIs; as well as the support that the work has been given through a grant from the Alfred P. DataCite and IGSN e.V. are entering the next phase of their partnership supported with a grant by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for the project ‘IGSN 2040 Vision to Execution: Institutionalizing IGSN ID services’. The project is the next step of the partnership between DataCite and IGSN in beginning the transition of the IGSN ID to the DataCite infrastructure, services, and APIs.

This year we relaunched DataCite Open Hours, keeping the same focus on community interaction, but also incorporating a section for gathering structured feedback for the DataCite product roadmap and metadata schema. We don’t record Open Hours because we want to create an informal and relaxed environment where everyone can ask questions and share ideas with the presenters and other attendees.
