L a teoría y práctica de la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras se beneficiaría mucho de salir de casa. Aprender a hablar nuevamente es un proceso continuo, tanto en la lengua materna como en la lengua adoptada. Fuera de la tierra materna, la lengua “propia” requiere de pose y disposición. Hablar la lengua del lugar de donde venimos (o veníamos) en la nueva patria es una toma de postura política, aunque se le tome sin pensarlo.

H a sido la conversación epistolar con un amigo (se le llama hermano) que me propongo volver a escribir en la lengua que llamo mía. Hay quien nos niega el uso de esta palabra pero yo me la apropio: el exilio le hace cosas a uno. Uno también le hace cosas al exilio, y quizá parte de eso sea reclamarlo como propio de quienes no nos ausentamos de lo que se llama patria por razones de desesperación humanitaria.
