The global DataCite community is supported by a fully remote team of 21 members, located in 12 countries and speaking more than 20 languages. The Amazon region is crucial for climate balance and biodiversity preservation. DataMap/Amazon, an initiative of the Center for Sustainable Amazon Studies at the University of São Paulo (USP), promotes the production and dissemination of science for the sustainable development of the Amazon.

Indian researchers and institutions are increasingly embracing Open Science, recognizing its value in enhancing collaboration and reproducibility. However, many still hesitate to share their work openly due to challenges such as limited awareness of open research benefits, insufficient institutional support, and inadequate infrastructure.
