Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government has adopted an OA mandate.  From today's announcement: Comment .  This is the third Harvard OA mandate, after the mandates at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Law School.  A fourth is in development at the Medical School.  It's also the third Harvard OA mandate adopted by faculty vote.

The Publishing Research Consortium has released a new report by Sally Morris, Journal Authors’ Rights:  perception and reality (March 2009).  From today's announcement: Comments This is a welcome report.  It's true that most publishers allow authors to deposit their peer-reviewed manuscripts in institutional repositories and it's true that this important fact is not widely known.
