Alzheimer's Research & Therapy is a new peer-reviewed OA journal published by BioMed Central. See the announcement from December 12, 2008. The article processing charge is £950 (€1100, US$1395), subject to discounts and waiver. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License.

The Group on Earth Observations is leading the development of a Global Earth Observation System of Systems. Data sharing is part of the plan for GEOSS. The 10-Year Implementation Plan, approved in 2005, lays out these principles: The drafting process is ongoing, with the most recent draft white paper and implementation guidelines on data sharing released in September 2008.
