On Charlie Hebdo. A mash-up of two Op-Ed drafts I wrote on Wednesday January 7 2015 by request of one major American newspaper and one up-and-coming UK online journalism platform.

H ere an attempt to visualise what I was up to in 2014 publishing, research and teaching engagement wise. I have focused first on how many blog posts I published on this blog per month, how many blog posts I edited and/or authored for the Comics Grid blog, how many outputs I shared on figshare and finally a general numeralia of some main categories of my 2014 activity.

I have uploaded a new dataset to figshare: The Twelve Days of REF- A #REF2014 Archive

The results from the REF 2014 were announced in the first minute of the 18th of december 2014. Here I share a quick first look at a sample corpus of texts from Tweets publicly tagged with #REF2014.

I will participate in a one-day workshop hosted by the University of Warwick, as part of the Independent Review of the Role of Metrics in Research Assessment. Friday 16th January 2015, Scarman Conference Centre, University of Warwick. Registration required.

I have uploaded to figshare a file that contains approximately 77,318 Tweets published publicly and tagged with #CometLanding between 12/11/2014 09:09 and 05/12/2014 18:07 GMT.

The taught component of Term 1 of the 2014-2015 year is over at #citylis. Throughout the term I archived the Tweets tagged with #citylis and I have now uploaded to figshare a spreadsheet containing 4940 Tweets.
