The InvenioRDM project partners met in Hamburg two weeks ago, and we discussed a wide range of topics over five days. InvenioRDM is the open source repository platform that also powers the Rogue Scholar science blog archive, and one priority for me is to keep the repository platform's maintenance simple while adding the features I need.

Next week the InvenioRDM community will meet in Hamburg for five days to discuss the open source repository platform. Front Matter has been part of the InvenioRDM community since August 2021, and Rogue Scholar relaunched on the InvenioRDM platform in October 2024. The last workshop of the InvenioRDM partners took place in March 2024 in Münster, so this is the first meetup where I am running a production instance of InvenioRDM.

This blog has joined the Fediverse as @index@blog.front-matter.io, thanks to a major beta update of the underlying Ghost blogging platform. Read about Activitypub support in Ghost here.

The Rogue Scholar dashboard is taking shape. The statistics page has been renamed to dashboard , still linked from the Rogue Scholar footer. More work has been done to expose key indicators of the science blog archive, focussing on OpenSearch Search Facets.

The Rogue Scholar science blog archive has started to automatically add all blog posts to the subject area community of the blog. Today I am adding another automatic community workflow: if a blog post uses tags or categories that exist as Rogue Scholar topic communities, the post is automatically added to these communities.

In a few weeks, the Rogue Scholar science blog archive will reach the milestone of 25,000 archived science blog posts, each with a DOI and metadata and searchable via full-text search. With this number of blog posts, it is now time to start using a dedicated content type, and last week Rogue Scholar started the migration to the B logPost content type.
