You will find the release notes here, but some of the more exciting new features are: OJS now supports automatic CrossRef deposits. With this new version of OJS comes an updated “2.0” release of the CrossRef plugin, adding new functionality and features; such as automatic deposits. This plugin will see continued refinement and improvement as its use increases.

After a short hiatus while we were working hard on finishing up OJS 2.4.5, the PKP Roundup is back with news on our latest software developments. OJS Stable line (2.4.x): OJS 2.4.5 will be available Monday September 15, so stay tuned. More information on what is included in this particular release will be available then.

Curious what the PKP team has been working on this week? The PKP Roundup gives quick updates on our latest software developments. OJS Stable line (2.4.x): Work continues on finishing up OJS 2.4.5. Translations have started and bug fixes should be completed by the end of next week. The translations should be completed by August 22, while the last round of testing will be done the last week of August.

The Accelerating Science Award Program recently recognized three recipients for exemplary reuse of Open Access research. This program was co-sponsored by PLOS, Google, Wellcome Trust, and numerous other organizations. A major component of the program was the Accelerating Impact portfolio, which highlighted both the contributions of the finalists and the benefits of Open Access.

With the support of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation; the American Anthropological Association (AAA), Freie Universität Berlin, and the Public Knowledge Project will work together to enhance OJS to better support online book reviews. The new functionality will build on the work done by FU Berlin, who provided the original iteration of the Objects for Review plugin.
