As you may know, the last couple months the PKP team has been hard at work designing our new website; and today we unveil the result! After many years, our old website had grown to contain so much information and content that it had become quite a maze. With this new website we present anything you may want to know about PKP in an easily accessible and visually pleasing form.

The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) are pleased to announce the Fourth International PKP Scholarly Publishing Conference, which will be held from August 19 – 21, 2013 in Mexico City, Mexico. This is the first time that the PKP Conference is being held in Latin America, a region of the world that publishes almost exclusively in Open Access.

The newest Public Knowledge Project (PKP) software module, the Open Monograph Press (OMP) 1.0 (Beta), was released on September 17th, 2012. As part of OMP’s release strategy, PKP is working closely with several early adopters who are using OMP in a production environment and who will provide feedback on their experiences with the software.
