Vom 16.-18. September 2024 fand in Bonn die fünfte Konferenz des Netzwerks Fluchtforschung unter dem Titel „Regionale und lokale Antworten auf globale Fluchtbewegungen: Kontexte, Herausforderungen, Lösungen“ statt. Über 400 Teilnehmende aus über 50 Staaten kamen zusammen, um sich über den Stand der Forschung sowie aktuelle politische und gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen auszutauschen.

“Ich habe ein Paper verfasst und möchte dieses nun publizieren. Wie finde ich ein geeignetes Journal, worauf sollte ich im Publikationsprozess achten, wer finanziert mir eine Open-Access-Publikation und was kann ich tun, damit mein Beitrag gefunden und wahrgenommen wird?” Diese und ähnliche weitere Fragen stellen sich besonders junge Forschende am Anfang ihrer wissenschaftlichen Karriere.

Ende Oktober 2024 fand die 14. Ausgabe der Konferenzreihe „Zugang gestalten!“ in Stuttgart statt. Das Hauptthema Das Erbe antreten wurde eifrig von den Teilnehmenden diskutiert. Als Mitveranstalter war auch iRights.info vor Ort. Redakteurin Lea Singson schildert ihre Eindrücke. „Der Zugang entscheidet die Zukunft des kulturellen Erbes“, so Konferenzleiter Paul Klimpel in seiner Eröffnung. Last week I reported that the commonmeta Go library can now directly register metadata with Crossref and InvenioRDM repositories. With version v0.6.10 released today, I further improved this functionality, making commonmeta an excellent tool for adding existing scholarly metadata to any InvenioRDM instance for testing or showcasing the software.
